I wanted to translate a passage into Quenya, then Tengwar for a tattoo. I want the last three lines of 'Cloths Of Heaven' by W.B Yeats.
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
This was my first attempt at the translation:-
nányë ëala "POOR", harya er/eressë olornya
Horya palya olornya undu nútillda
Vanta milya pan vantaldë olornyanna
I couldn't find the correct wording for 'POOR', and I pretty much knew some of my grammar was out. So with a few pointers this is what I've come up with:-
nányë ëala úlárëa, harya eressë olorinyar
apálienyë olorinyar nu taleldat
Vanta milya pan vantaldë olorinyar
Is this the correct translation? If not could anyone help?
